  中文課程概要
Chinese Course Description
本課程目的在於提昇學生與國際人士英語互動能力,提昇學生英語字彙、文法、口說及閱讀技能。 授課方式包括聽力及對話練習、問答與對談、情境對話,課程設計更含概主題式及分組討論。 採能力分班教學,因材施教,根據學生英語能力賦與不同任務。 評估學生學習進度方式包括聽力與閱讀測驗、基本寫作及口頭報告。  
  英文課程概要
English Course Description
The objective of this course is to ensure that students maintain and further their English skills, with a focus on practical English that students might encounter while interacting with foreigners in Taiwan or abroad. Students should gain with regards to vocabulary, grammar knowledge, speaking confidence and reading skills. Instructors employ a variety of methods – including listening exercises, dialogue practice, question and answer sessions, and pair work. The purpose is to engage students fully in the English learning process. Teachers therefore adapt materials and teaching styles so as to meet the needs of each specific class. The students of one class might require a slower pace and more assistance, while those with higher English skills can be provided with more challenging tasks. This course also provides an opportunity to adequately assess students’ English abilities, as well as to determine the gains made over the two semesters. To ensure appropriate measurement and fair grading, a number of methods are utilized to determine grades: listening tests, reading tests, written assignments and oral presentations.

  教學目標
Course Objectives
To help students improve their English fluency ability, listening comprehension, and conversation skills.  
  授課方式
Approach to Instruction
The course is basically a student-centered conversation class. The students participate in interactive conversations and fluency activities with each other and the instructor, utilizing the language lab equipment. Textbook grammar targets, vocabulary expansion, and activities will be utilized.  
  成績評定
Grading
Final exam (30%); GEPT Mid-term Exam (20%); Unit Tests (30%); Attendance (10%); and Participation and Attitude (10%).
