  中文課程概要
Chinese Course Description		 本科目將挑選適合學生字彙數量與文法程度的教材，期能引發學生對英文的興趣，進而增進英文閱讀技巧與內容統整能力；教學方式以課堂講解與討論為主，並穿插以活潑的分組短劇表演或英文歌曲、電影播放，以多元化的教學方式訓練學生的聽說讀寫綜合能力。  
  英文課程概要
English Course Description		 We will choose proper vocabularies and grammar to teach freshmen, and expecting it can interest students to learn English, then enhancing their reading skills. The way of teaching is based on class instruction and discussion, and we will also arrange some funny groups’ projects, movie, and English songs to make our class diversified.

  教學目標
Course Objectives		 Students are expected to gain proficiency in the English language, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening. As a reading course, articles will be discussed, but students are also expected to practice writing, with in-class compositions, vocabulary practice, and discussions of grammar and style.  
  授課方式
Approach to Instruction		 Textbook articles will be read and studied as outlined in the syllabus below.
A minimum of three written compositions will be due each semester.
In-class discussions will encourage verbal practice.		  
  成績評定
Grading		 A midterm and a final examination, oral participation, memorization exercises, homework exercises. Attendance is mandatory, as is keeping up with the readings. HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS OVER ONE WEEK LATE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
