	中文概要
	本課程主要是為大學部學生所開設之初等統計學，課程內容提供了基本統計概念與方法的介紹，含括了：描述統計（次數分配、集中量數、變異量數、相對地位量數）、常態分配、機率與二項式分配、假設考驗、考驗力、抽樣分配、T檢定、卡方檢定、相關、簡單迴歸、變異數分析、多重比較與無母數統計（魏克遜符號等級檢定、曼惠二氏U檢定、克瓦二氏檢定）。
	英文概要
	This course is designed to introduce basic statistical methods to undergraduate students. The course provides an overview of the field of statistics, including descriptive statistics (frequency distribution, measures of central tendency, measures of variability, measures of relative position), the normal curve, probability and binomial distribution, hypothesis testing, power, sampling distributions, T-test, Chi-square test, correlation, simple regression, ANOVA, multiple comparison and nonparametric tests (the Wilcoxon matched-pairs signed ranks test, the Mann-Whitney U test, the Kruskal-Wallis test). The purpose of the course, thus, is to develop students’ critical skills necessary to understand, interpret, and draw conclusions from quantitative data available in the real world.
