	社會學與心理學專業英文導讀(SOPS240) 課程概要

	中文概要
	社會學與心理學是高度建制化的專業知識，而且是源自西方的專業知識。因此，社會學與心理學的學習，也大量仰賴西方語言，尤其是英語。為了及早奠定學生閱讀此二領域英文讀物之能力，本系特別設立專業英文導讀一門課程，加強訓練學生認識此二專業科目英文學術研究論文或英文教科書中重要的名詞、概念及討論。本課程將針對社會心理系二年級學生開設。由本系所有專任教師共同挑選學術經典的基礎英文讀本，內容大範圍涵蓋本系學術研究與實務運用領域的相關主題；一方面可輔助其他課程之學習，另一方面可啟發學生探索未來的發展方向。授課方式由本系教師聯合講授。重點放在文章每一段落中逐字逐句意思的瞭解以及最後對全文核心概念的融會貫通，俾使學生能夠完全熟悉社會學界、心理學界各種形式的學術寫作。
	英文概要
	This class is designed for improving students’ ability of reading Sociological and Psychological articles. Both Sociology and Psychology originate from Western societies. The classics, the most updated, and the most important articles are mostly written in languages other than Chinese. English is especially the most frequently used one. Therefore, in order to facilitate students in reading those important articles and strengthen their training for professional development at graduate levels, the Department offers this class to reach this goal. Students are required to register in this class at their second year in the department. One credit for each semester. There will be total 2 credits for the whole semester year. All faculties in the department will take turns to teach this class, and each semester will have several ones. Journal articles or book chapters are chosen by faculties depends on their specialties.
