  中文概要
  健身運動心理學是一門結合運動科學及心理學的知識領域,探討為何要參與健身運動?影響健身運動行為的因素?以及健身運動可以帶來哪些好處?透過這門課程幫助學生從人格因素了解參與健身運動的交互影響;從不同動機理論知道參與健身運動的原因及行為歷程。健身運動與心理福祉方面的熱門主題包括,了解進行規律的健身運動可以增進認知功能、自我概念、消除壓力、降低焦慮與憂鬱、改善生活品質及對抗疾病之機轉與效益。最後,預防進行健身運動所帶來的運動傷害、過度訓練及成癮問題。
  英文概要
  Psychology of Exercise & Sports is a discipline that integrates sports science and psychology. The main questions discussed in the discipline include examples as follows: why sports participation is important? What are the mental benefits of exercise? The subject will also facilitate student’s understanding on how personality may influence sports participation. Several motivation theories will be used to explain behavior aspects of sports participation. Some hot areas encompass effects of regular exercise on cognitive function, self-perception, stress elimination, lowering anxiety and depression, and how exercise may improve quality of life via improving mental health. Some minor topics such as sports injury, over-training, and addiction will also be covered in the course.
